The Oscar winner left the academy / protested against recent decisions

One of Martin Scorsese’s regular colleagues resigned from the academy in protest of Oscar’s recent decisions.
Theater News Base: Voice actor Tom Fleischmann, who has been a regular contributor to Martin Scorsese and Spike Lee, has resigned from the Oscars.
He, who has been nominated for five Academy Awards in the sound department, resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in response to this year’s Academy Award program for not broadcasting eight branches directly from this year’s awards, including the sound section.
Fleischmann, best known for his decades of collaboration with Scorsese and the Academy Award-winning director for his soundtrack of “Hugo,” has worked with other prominent directors such as Ron Howard and Oliver Stone on his pro-Peyman record, and is the sound engineer of the Academy Award-winning documentary. Has been a free solo.
This decision of the academy has faced many protests and many criticisms. Short documentaries, film editing, filmmaking, film music, production design, short animation and short films, and Fleischmann’s focus is on eight-part soundtracks, the awards ceremony of which is not broadcast live from the Academy Awards. Their video is broadcast.
Fleischmann had previously been nominated for Oscar for “Silence of the Lambs” by Jonathan Demi, “Aviator” and “New York Drugs” by Scorsese and “The Reds” by Warren Beatty. He voiced other Scorsese films, including “Good Friends,” “Irish,” “The Gone,” and “Angry Cow.”
Although he has not yet announced his resignation, his program manager has confirmed it.
