The theater house demands more than one billion tomans

Iraj Rad, the chairman of the board of directors of the theater, announced that this cultural and artistic organization demands more than one billion tomans.
Charso Press: He said about the last year’s budget status of the theater house: In 1401, two grants were paid to the theater house in the amount of 200 million tomans each, and the total amount received by the house was 400 million tomans. Of course, another 200 million Tomans were supposed to be paid at the end of the year, which was secured but not paid.
Rod reminded: In 1400, a budget of one billion seven hundred million Tomans was considered for the theater house, but in 1401, only two amounts of 200 million Tomans were paid, and as I explained, the third amount was also paid despite securing credit. It didn’t happen.
Pointing out that the municipality did not support the theater house last year, he added: Before this, amounts were paid to the theater house with the approval of the city council and from the municipality, but last year the same budget was not allocated.
In response to the question of whether this happened after changes in the municipality, Rod continued: an issue that happened a while ago that was objected to at the same time was the consolidation of cultural budgets, while before this cultural budgets in the municipality It was separated and it was clear what the budget of a place like the theater house is, but with the consolidation of these budgets, this procedure has changed and it depends on the taste of people, what figure to consider for the theater house from the total budget. In addition, in the past, citizen’s allowances or livelihood packages were also considered by the municipality for the members of the theater house, but this year this has also been stopped. On the other hand, unlike the previous years, no support was provided by the artists’ credit fund on the eve of Nowruz, while in the past years, at least on occasions such as Shab Eid, assistance was provided through the fund.
Referring to the meeting that was held in March of 1401 with the presence of Mahmoud Salari, the artistic deputy of the Ministry of Guidance and Kazem Nazari, the general director of performing arts, the head of the board of directors of the Theater House reminded: In that meeting, there were discussions that aid such as packages Support was provided to a number of members who agreed, and about 200 million Tomans support package was prepared from their side, which was awarded to a number of members and not all of them. In addition to that, we got about 80 million tomans through the theater’s ambassador of kindness, which was given to a very limited number of members.
Rad explained about other ways to attract support for the theater house: All our efforts have been to attract support through some other institutions, but so far no results have been obtained. Because all over the world, producers and economic enterprises pay a part of their taxes by supporting cultural and artistic activities, but there is no such law in our country. Therefore, a factory or economic institution will not have an incentive to support cultural activities.
At the same time, the head of the board of directors of the Theater House emphasized: Let’s not forget that the donations made to the Theater House through the Ministry of Guidance or the municipality and other places are given to a cultural and artistic organization and not to individuals. In addition, cultural aid is among the approved budgets and should be used to support the expansion of cultural activities and organizations and not any other activities. In addition, I must emphasize that the Theater House has always presented its one-year performance report and the expenses it has incurred, and it is quite clear what the budget it receives is spent on.
