We will not let the efforts of artists be forgotten

Charso Press: Meisham Navirian explained about the honoring of this association to a number of experienced theater designers: This ceremony is the beginning of our rituals of honoring artists. In the first step, we honor designers who have a lot of experience in this field, and we intend to continue the honoring programs in other time frames.

He added: After years of experience, artists may no longer be able to work physically and stay away from the art scene. Unfortunately, in such cases, that artist is forgotten, but we try to remind them of their annual efforts by holding celebrations. Therefore, our awards do not mean choosing the best theater designers.

This designer pointed to holding a sketch competition with the participation of students as another part of this program and added: We have held the sketch competition in different courses and our main goal is to establish a bridge between professors and veteran artists with the young generation and students, which is supposed to be Join the theater in the future. In this regard, we give certificates to all participants and introduce the top three designs.

Navirian announced that a memorial service will be held for Mahmoud Fathniya, the late stage designer of the theater, and added: He passed away in 2009, but due to the Corona epidemic, we could not hold a memorial service for him. For this reason, we will also have a memorial for him in the artist appreciation program, with the presence of Mr. Fathniya’s family.

The appreciation program for theater costume designers will be held on the 10th of July in the hall of Ostad Abbas Jovanmard of the theater house.

The first part of this ceremony is dedicated to the sketch competition, which will be held from 15:00 to 17:00, and the second part, which includes honoring veteran artists, will be held from 17:00 to 19:00.
