According to the report of Fars news agency’s police reporter, the head of police command of Ray city announced the arrest and destruction of a 19-member fraud gang known as Hermi Goldquest, who were defrauding citizens.
Colonel Hossein Ali Ibn Ali, acting head of the police command of Ray city, explained this news: With the occurrence of serial frauds against citizens in recent weeks, with the recruitment of a pyramid company known as GoldQuest in Shahrari, which operates in the field of illegal network marketing, the matter should be dealt with immediately. It was included in the agenda of the intelligence agents of the 131 police station of this command.
He added: The initial investigations of the agents showed that 19 young men have deceived the citizens and defrauded them of large sums of money with the trick of recruiting members of the pyramid company known as Gold Quest.
This police official said: In the first step, the intelligence team of Shahrari police station identified the identity of the accused by using new methods of crime detection and intelligence measures and realized that they have defrauded many people in this way with false claims.
Colonel Ibn Ali said: In the next step, the detectives identified the hideouts of the accused in different parts of Tehran and Ray city with scientific methods and specialized investigations, and arrested them in separate operations yesterday with the necessary coordination with the judicial authority.
He added: After being transferred to the police station, the accused confessed to their crime of defrauding the citizens by recruiting members of the pyramid company.
The head of the police command of Ray city noted: With the issuance of a legal order by the judicial authority, the accused were handed over to the detectives to discover possible crimes and identify other suspects.
