According to Moj news agency, Sadegh Ziyaian, head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks, said about the country’s weather conditions: based on the analysis of the latest meteorological forecast maps, this Sunday in parts of East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, North Khorasan, heights and slopes of Alborz in the provinces of Zanjan, Qazvin, Alborz, Tehran, Semnan, heights and slopes of Zagros in the provinces of Hamedan, Markazi, East Lorestan, West Isfahan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, the eastern belt of Khuzestan and northwestern Fars. An increase in clouds, showers of rain, sometimes lightning and temporary strong winds are predicted.

He added: The maximum intensity of rain is expected on this day for the provinces of Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad and East Khuzestan.

According to Ziaian, on Monday and Tuesday in the northern part of the country, as well as the heights and slopes of Alborz and Central Zagros, a temporary shower with lightning and wind is expected.

He noted: On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the heights and slopes of Central Alborz, Central Zagros and North Fars.

According to Ziyaian, in the next three days, during the afternoon and early night, the growth of convective clouds and temporary showers, sometimes lightning in the heights of Hormozgan is not far from the possibility.

The head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks added: In the next five days, in the eastern part of the country, especially in the Zabul region and parts of the center of the country, strong winds are expected with the possibility of dust rising. Western neighboring countries and its transfer to parts of the western part of the country is not far from expected.

According to Ziyayan, during the days of Tuesday to Thursday, with the increase in the wind speed in the eastern regions of the country, the occurrence of sandstorms and a decrease in air quality are predicted for this region.

He pointed out: Today and tomorrow the Strait of Hormuz and the east of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea will be rough for the next three days. Also, in the next five days, waves are expected in the east of the Oman Sea and from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday in the west of the Persian Gulf.

The head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks said about the weather situation in Tehran in the next two days: the sky in Tehran tomorrow (August 17) will be clear to partly cloudy and sometimes windy with a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and during Tuesday (18 August) the sky is partly cloudy, sometimes partly cloudy and windy with a minimum temperature of 24 and a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.

In the end, Ziyaian said: Today and tomorrow (August 16 and 17), Ahvaz is the hottest with temperatures of 49 and 50 degrees Celsius, and Ardabil is the coldest with temperatures of 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.
