Deployment of Russian Sukhoi-35 jets in Belarus at the same time as the Ukrainian exercise

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, as Western efforts to escalate tensions with Russia and Ukraine hold exercises near the Crimean peninsula, news sources reported the deployment of Russian fighter jets in Belarus.

According to news sources, Russian Sukhoi-35 and Sukhoi-25 fighter jets have entered Belarus, and US officials in Kiev are following the incident with concern. The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that the military move was to hold exercises with Belarus.

While Moscow has warned against any provocative action near its territory, the Ukrainian military has held a military exercise near the “Crimea” in a provocative action. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday that the Ukrainian army had conducted tactical exercises in the “Southern Kherson” region near the border with Crimea. The latest Ukrainian exercise is being held amid escalating tensions between Kiev and Moscow.

The West is trying to artificially create a state of war in Ukraine, while the media and Western officials have been speculating since last month about a possible Russian invasion of the country earlier this year.

In an effort to reduce tensions in Eastern Europe, and especially Ukraine, Russia has made proposals to Moscow to ensure Western security, which were rejected by the West in recent Russia-West talks. Russia’s non-membership in NATO and the withdrawal of allied forces from countries around Russia in Eastern Europe were among Russia’s proposals.

According to the Yeni فقafak newspaper, an EU official said that Moscow’s proposals on European security would be considered at a meeting of EU foreign ministers last Monday.

The European diplomat said the meeting, which was also attended by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, was not going to discuss new sanctions against Russia, but that the EU would react quickly if it attacked Ukraine.

On Friday, Blinken met with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, to discuss developments in Ukraine and tensions in Eastern Europe.

In the latest tensions over Moscow and Kiev, the US embassy in Ukraine announced that the first shipment of aid, which was recently ordered by US President Joe Biden, had arrived in Ukraine.

“The shipment includes nearly 200,000 pounds of lethal aid, including ammunition to Ukraine’s front-line defenders,” the statement said.

The embassy added that the United States provided more than $ 650 million in military aid to Ukraine last year, and that this amount has reached $ 2.7 billion since 2014.

End of message.
