Nostalgic puppets of cinema and television from “Grandmother’s House” to “City of Mice” / Does “Coconut” also make memories?

Fars News Agency – Radio and Television Group: The visual memory of Iranian cinema and television has always been memorable with the presence of various puppets, and children of different generations remember the identity of a part of their childhood with puppets that were created in the form of heroes of movies and series. This is perhaps the greatest common feeling among children who can find all their fantasies and dreams in lovely and different dolls that are able to do strange things. Among these dolls, we can mention many works such as “Zi Zi Gulu”, “Sanjad”, “Hadi Heda”, “Grandmother’s House” and “Sanjad” to “Why” and “Ice Cream” and … On television, they were able to penetrate the hearts of the child’s audience at times.

In cinema, memorable characters such as “Red Hat”, “Cousin”, “Singing Cat”, etc. have all been able to accompany the audience and become one of the favorite characters of children.

Red Hat from the series to the cinema

Red Riding Hood and Cousin, directed by Iraj Tahmasb I, appeared on TV. Popular puppets that many audiences made and then left the cinema.

The film Red Hat is a product of 1373. This year, the movie Red Hat and Cousin managed to reach 171 million Tomans in Tehran in about three months with an average ticket price of 80 Tomans. The main voice actor of this film was Hamid Jeblai and its senior puppet director was the living memory of Donya Fanizadeh.

“Red Hat and Sarvanaz”, Iraj Tahmasb’s fourth film after “Red Hat and Cousin”, “One Was Not One” and “Confectionery Girl”, with an average ticket price of 550 Tomans, managed to reach nearly 550 million Tomans as the best-selling film of the year. .

Zi Zi Gulu

This series was one of the different TV series in puppet design. To the extent that his name and appearance and even the way he spoke were attractive to children for a long time and many tried to say his full name. They even repeat his actions and do whatever they want like him.

The tales of “Tabatha”, also known as the main character Zizi Gulu, are a children’s TV series directed by Marzieh Boroumand, which was first broadcast on the Islamic Republic of Iran TV in 1373 in 30 episodes on Friday mornings. The audience of this series was mainly children and teenagers.

The protagonist of the series is a puppet named “Zizi Gulu Asi Passi Short Tabatha” who came to Earth from an unknown planet by a person named Arman Foolad Panjeh and his most important ability is to read the word “Zizi Gulu Asi Passi Drakota Tabatha”. It does extraordinary things.

In this series, Maryam Saadat, Reza Fayyazi, Lily Rashidi, Amir Hossein Siddiq and … have played roles.

Grandmother’s house

Grandmother’s House was a puppet TV series that was made in 1987, directed by Marzieh Boroumand and produced by Seyed Hassan Bani Taba, and directed by Rahim Jelodar. The series was made in 24 episodes of 15 to 25 minutes and is one of the most important TV puppet works that still remains in the memories.

The story of the series is about an old woman who lives peacefully with her animals, but with the arrival of Mr. Hanaei and Gol Baqali Khanum’s family with their two children, the peace of Grandma’s house for Velvet (Grandma’s one-piece cat) is disturbed …

Doll Thief

Mohammad Reza Honarmand started a new technical experience in Iranian cinema by making “Doll Thief”. The combination he made between live film and animation is still fascinating, even about 25 years after its release. The film uses the same familiar formula of song and music for children, and succeeds in becoming a spectacular film in the form of a compelling story based on the eternal theme of the opposition of good and evil.

The location of the film is a reconstructed and fantasy city, and it is in this fascinating space for children that the story of the boy’s thefts and the comic and musical scenes of the film are formed. The song that Akbar Abdi sings as a boy: “Oh, oh, my grandmother is famous” has long been the language of children. “Doll Thief” with the sale of 24 million Tomans, took the first place in the sales table in 1990.

Pea

“Pea” is a creative and elegant fantasy for the child audience; Which once again reminds us of the importance of the key element of imagination in children’s cinema. The film, with its simple and, of course, well-executed special effects, depicts the gradual shrinkage of the main character in a tangible and appropriate way.

The gradual shrinkage, which in fact indicates the gradual humiliation of the main character of the film by those around him and his surroundings.

City of mice

As long as there is a school, parents will probably have to struggle with their children to get to class and study. In the early 1960s, television offered Marzieh Boroumand a series to encourage children to go to school.

A 10-part puppet show that aired on Channel One in 1960. Then in 1364, the movie “City of Mice” directed by Marzieh Boroumand and Mohammad Ali Talebi entered the box office and achieved significant sales. This film, which was made with a budget of 1.2 million Tomans, was able to become the second best-selling film of the year with sales of 10 million Tomans.

الو الو من جوجوام

Marzieh Boroumand, who had many years of experience in children’s programs, had successful experiences such as the television and puppet series “School of Mice” and “Grandmother’s House”. In “Aloo Aloo Man Jojoom”, he also presented a combination of the two collections “Grandma’s House” and “Beautiful Hairdresser” with a combination of the most attractive elements and characters of each.

once upon a time

The charming character of Barre, who is in fact the material embodiment of the element of innocence and oppression in the film, suffers from empathetic depression at the parting of the storyteller aunt; And this is an indirect and clever reference to some of the relationships that govern society, which harm children’s emotions.

“One was not one” with sales of 177 million Tomans was ranked seventh in the sales table in 1379.

Magical journey

In a metaphysical and fantasy journey, Abolhassan Davoodi takes his father’s character back to the past, and the father becomes the same lovable child we knew from Akbar Abdi by playing Akbar Abdi. The condemnation of corporal punishment of children in the film is an excuse for children to spend two hours with their parents having fun watching the film and laughing out loud. Preparing to be thrown into the time tunnel by a washing machine is interesting and technically acceptable in the dimensions of Iranian cinema at that time.

For adults, the retrospective season is a memorable reminder and the fulfillment of a long-held dream, and for children, the boy and the disasters that befall the groom of the family are fun and comical.

گلنار

“Golnar” is still one of the unforgettable films of children and teenagers of the 60s and 70s! The real and puppet characters of this film are still popular among the audience of children’s cinema in those days, and the people involved in “Aunt Frog” were aware of this issue and tried to use the character of “Aunt Frog”, who is a kind of hero and savior of “Golnar”. It was considered to make a new film and start a wave in the country’s children’s cinema that the generation of yesterday and today will welcome.

Unaware that superficiality, poor script, unfamiliarity with the tastes of today’s children and the like have not only completely dispelled the nostalgia of yesterday’s children and adolescents that today’s children are no longer interested in watching this film. !

Singing cat

Many childhood memories for our contemporaries and for many children of the sixties are associated with films such as “Singing Cat”, children whose only entertainment was the magic box, and now these memories are not erased from the minds of those children.

The colorful world of cinema screens has a pleasant meaning for the children of the sixties. Do not see my parts, I have a high head in my head, I have honor to God.

Coconut

These days, while cinema and television have forgotten the mission of making puppet works, the series “Coconut” has come to the home theater network. This series is directed by Ebrahim Amerian and Hamzeh Salehi.

The series has tried to add new dolls to the children’s visual memory by creating three characters, “Nargil Khan”, “Lengeh” and “Liweh”. Is that he went on the air with the absence of Mr. Khan and of course did not get it!

Although the release of the series poster and the resemblance of the makeup of one of the actors to one of Angelina Jolie’s films led to many doubts, but after the release of the first episode of the series, one can speculate that we are facing a work in television that must be seen in a serious vacuum. Will such works on television succeed in attracting the child’s audience or not?

The puppets are voiced by Mohammad Reza Alimardani, Hooman Haji Abdollahi and Majid Agha Karimi and Mehdi Faghih, Shabnam Gholikhani, Behnoosh Bakhtiari, Sam Nouri, Shahrzad Kamalzadeh, Sara Manjezi, Hossein Rafiei, Behrad Kharazi, Touraj Nasr, Ahmad Rust Meysam Rastegari, Ali Ziari, Amir Mohsen Koohgareh with the presence of Asha Mehrabi with the artist Sirus Hemmati are the actors of this home drama series.

Also, Tarnam Kazemi, Mani Akhashi and Roham Haidar Ali are present as child actors in “Coconut”.
