Poco is likely to enter the smartwatch and airbag market in the future

At present, all brands of handsets, from Apple and Samsung to Xiaomi and Riley, have their own gadget ecosystem and accessories. Poco has now announced that it intends to expand its ecosystem in 2022, given that there is a possibility of Poco smartwatches or airbags being introduced in the future.

Of course, Poco has talked about his decision to enter the accessories sector in the past. In addition, the company’s first proprietary accessories may have already been seen on certification websites under the name “Poco Pop Buds”.

Kevin Kew, President of Poco World explained“We always believe that mobile and the Internet of Things are our key strategy.” Of course, it is not yet clear what kind of products we can expect from Poco. “There are no limits,” says Angus Neg, head of marketing for Poco products.

According to the description, devices such as audio products, wearable devices such as fitness trackers or smartwatches, and powerbanks could be the first products of the new Poco ecosystem.

Angus Neg, head of Poco marketing, also spoke about the possibility of entering the tablet arena:

“The tablet market has grown a lot in the last year and a half due to the Corona virus epidemic. “But due to the large and largely crowded market, it is more difficult for us to enter this sector.”

Poco is also preparing for the M4 Pro, which is expected to replace the low-cost M3 Pro. So far, some specifications of this phone have been revealed, but about its price, Neg explains that it will be almost in the same range as the previous version. The Poco M3 Pro was launched with a starting price of $ 209.

The company is also looking for less software dependence on Xiaomi and Redmi. According to Q, Poco Launcher is currently running through the MIUI user interface, but they are considering further customization.
