According to Ekhtaz Online, quoting from the Journalists Club, Abbas Ebadi, Deputy Minister of Nursing, Health, Treatment and Medical Education, said on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the National Nurses Commemoration Day ceremony at Motahar Razavi Shrine, that the gender ratio in the nursing group in the world includes 90% women and 10% This ratio in Iran includes 75% of women and 25% of men.

He stated: Currently, the large nursing community of the country with 220 thousand people, including nurses from bachelor’s degree to doctorate, operating room experts, psychiatry and paramedics, are engaged in care and nursing and providing services to patients in 1,500 hospitals of the country.

The Deputy Minister of Health Nursing continued: Every year, on average, between 6 and 7 thousand people retire from the health system, and about 40% of them are in the nursing group.

He stated that 10,500 students are currently studying in the field of nursing and 3,500 students in the field of intelligence and operating room, he added: 20% of them are attracted to medical centers in the country every year.

Ebadi continued: The ratio of nurses to hospital beds in the country is about 1.3 nurses per hospital bed, which is far from the standard index (1.8 nurses per hospital bed).

The Deputy Minister of Nursing, Health, Treatment and Medical Education said: By increasing the capacity of nursing schools, efforts will be made to compensate for this gap and shortage by training human resources in the coming years.

He added: In addition to increasing the acceptance capacity of nursing students, the recruitment and recruitment of different nursing groups is of interest. In this regard, we request the country’s program and budget organization and the country’s employment affairs organization to hire more nurses so that people can get quality services and get a better one.

Ebadi stated: In big cities like Mashhad, which welcomes Iranian and foreign pilgrims, a different formula should be implemented to increase the quota of nurses in this metropolis, and allocation of a special quota in this regard will be pursued.

He said: Improving service to patients requires the development of health-oriented services in the field of nursing, and in this regard, we are following 3 special educational, research and clinical paths in the hospital and at home.

In part of his speech, the Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education said: We are now paying the nurses’ dues for the year 1401, and the first four months of the previous year have been paid so far, and the rest of the claims will be paid step by step.

Referring to the plans made to hold this ceremony at the holy shrine of Razavi, the executive secretary of the celebration of Nurse’s Day said: 1,000 nurses selected from the country’s medical centers are present in this ceremony, of which 350 are nurses working in Khorasan Razavi medical centers.

Dr. Reza Alinejad added: “Today, 1,500 people from the health system family were present at Motahar Razavi shrine, 1,000 of them are selected nurses of the country and the rest of the faculty members, heads of universities and nursing schools, veterans and families of martyrs who defend health.”
