Tejarat Bank and Iran Kish introduced the first product based on digital Rial

During the 9th Electronic Banking and Payment Exhibition, in a workshop entitled “Digital Rial Product Presentation”, the new possibility of Tejarat Bank’s Emerald application was discussed, which is related to the Digital Rial project, Iran’s national digital currency.

According to Erzdigital, Emerald is one of the payment applications affiliated with Tejarat Bank According to Nima Rashadi, manager of Iran Kish mobile software, is supposed to add the possibility of using digital Rial and its transfers to its new versions.

It is said that in the new version of Emerald application, there are features such as creating a digital Rial wallet for the user, charging or increasing the balance of the digital Rial wallet, transferring from the digital Rial wallet to another wallet, discharging the wallet (possibility of converting digital Rial to real Rial). and receiving the digital Rial wallet balance has been created. It should be noted that the currently available version of the Emerald program on the website of Tejarat Bank does not have these capabilities.

According to Rashadi’s announcement, the purchase of mobile recharge, internet package and mobile bill payment through digital Rial, as well as the transfer of digital Rial using the QR code are among the things that have been implemented in the new version of this application.

In the additional information related to this product on the Iran Kish website, it is stated that digital Rial transfers on a decentralized network, which is called Central Bank’s decentralized network “Barna”. This decentralized network currently has three new branches (which are the servers that confirm transactions through digital Rial), which are Bank Tejarat, Bank Melli and Bank Mellat. These main nodes confirm the transactions that happen with digital Rial in the network. When digital riyals are transferred through the app’s e-wallet, the transactions are verified through these banks.

One of these nodes that performs digital Rial payment is Iran Kish company based on Hyperledger Fabric.
