According to Fars News Agency, the Iranian Youth Cinema Association intends to support selected scripts in a number of genres during the pitching process for production at the 40th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

The ceiling of financial support considered for each work in this event will be 2 billion Rials.

Also, the applicants will have the possibility to receive the support of these investors if they attract the opinions of real and legal sponsors participating in the event.

Comedy, science fiction, horror, holy defense and resistance, hope and vision of the future, acceptable genres and themes are introduced in this event.

The terms and conditions of the company in this section are announced as follows:

• All applicants with a history of making at least two short films will be able to participate in the competition.
• Each applicant is only allowed to send one work to the event secretariat.
• The meeting will be held in public and at the festival site, and the applicants must register their screenplay in Khane Cinema script bank before the date of the meeting and submit the registration code to the association’s vice president of production.
• Screenplays that have already been produced or are under a production contract with any organization will not be supported.
• The filmmakers who make it to the event will have the opportunity to benefit from the advice and guidance of production experts in the preparation session before pitching.

Registration and submission of works:
Applicants must send their screenplay in standard format, and in PDF file format, by October 20th of this year, to the email address of the association’s vice president of production at tolid.iycs@gmail.com.

Inserting a one-page draft of the script at the beginning of the text is mandatory.

At the beginning of the work, it is necessary to include the title of the script, the author’s name, the author’s contact number and email, the format and genre of the work, and the date of writing. (If the work is an adaptation, mentioning the name of the source of the adaptation is also mandatory).

1. Due to the time-consuming process of reviewing the works, the announcement date will not be extended in any way.
