Following the removal of Instagram and WhatsApp applications from Iranian stores such as Cafe Bazar and Miket, the possibility of permanent filtering of these social networks in Iran became stronger.
Since a few days ago, due to security issues and the events that happened in our country, by order of the Security Council, Instagram and WhatsApp applications have been filtered. Of course, the new wave of filtering has not only affected these two social networks, but also Google Play Store, App Store, LinkedIn, Clash of Clans game, Starlink website and, in the last case, Skype have also been filtered. In addition to filtering, widespread disruptions and outages of Irancell, First Mobile and Rightel Internet have caused many problems for users.
After the filtering of Instagram and WhatsApp, many speculations were published regarding whether this filtering will be permanent or temporary. Some people believe that after the situation calms down, Instagram and WhatsApp will be unfiltered and return to their normal state, but many believe that the authorities have been looking for an excuse to filter applications like Instagram for a long time and now use this opportunity to block them. They use these social networks permanently.
Instagram and WhatsApp were removed from Mykit
While many users were waiting to solve the problems related to the Internet and filtering of social networks, today we saw that the Instagram and WhatsApp applications were removed from the Iranian Myket Android store. By referring to the page of these two applications, we see that it is written:
Unfortunately, this application has been discontinued. Thank you for understanding our limitations.

It seems that the order to remove these two social networks from Iranian stores has been issued by the upper authorities, but no detailed comment has been published on this issue. As of this writing, Instagram and WhatsApp have not been removed from Cafe Bazaar, but according to the orders issued, it is almost certain that these two applications will also be removed from the market.
Now, with the removal of Instagram and Whatsapp from Iranian stores, the possibility has arisen that maybe the authorities intend to make the filtering of these two social networks permanent, and maybe Instagram and WhatsApp are not going to be unfiltered; An issue that can be met with protest by users and cause many problems for many businesses and activists in this field.
Update:

As expected, unfortunately, Instagram and WhatsApp were also removed from Cafe Bazar. According to our experience with the Telegram filter, unfortunately, it seems that after removing the applications from Iranian stores, the filtering will remain permanently.
