2 gold and one silver medal for Iranian Taekwondo juniors on the first day of the World Championships



According to IRNA, the fifth round of the World Youth Championship started on Thursday morning with the participation of 669 taekwondo athletes from 90 countries, hosted by Bulgaria in Sofia.

The Iranian national team had 4 representatives on the first day, and the results of their efforts were two gold and one silver.

Baran Jamal Livani in weight minus 29 and Saina Alipour in weight minus 51 kg for girls won gold medals on the first day of Iran.

Mohammad Irfan Zare also won a silver medal in minus 65 kg for boys.

Amirhossein Valimohammadi represented our country in the 65+ kg weight category in the first day’s competition, where he lost 2-0 against “Khodaitov Javahirjun” from Uzbekistan in the first round and was eliminated.

The fifth round of the World Taekwondo Championship will continue until Sunday, August 9.
