In the 63-kg weight category, Matin Rezaei defeated Tajikistan 2-1 in the first round in the Mammadjan round-robin count, and then in the round-off 2-1 (Rezaei 9-12 in the first round – Rezaei 5 in the second round and 8-5) left the result to “Yun” from South Korea. In the same weight category, Mohammad Sadegh Dehghani started his career with a 2-0 victory over Soroka from Japan, and in the round of 16, he won 2-1 (12-0 in the first round of Dehghani, 14-7 in the second round of Dehghani) from Al-Mabrouk Dam. It passed through Saudi Arabia and reached the quarterfinals. In this stage, Dehghani lost to Choi from South Korea in 2 rounds and failed to win a medal.

In the weight of -68 kg, our team had two representatives. In the first match, Mohammad Mehdi Emadi lost 2 to 1 to “Hun” from South Korea and was eliminated from the competition. Daniel Bozorgi, the other weightlifter, took a break after a round, defeating Tajikistan’s Shumakhmatov in two consecutive rounds in the round of 16 and 2-1 in the quarter-finals against Lee of South Korea. In the 87-kg weight category, Ali Ahmadi, the worthy representative of our country, defeated Kantos (3-0, 9-1, Ahmadi) from the Philippines in the first match 2-0. In the quarterfinals, with the same result (Ahmadi won the first round and Ahmadi won the 4-11 round), he defeated “Mabrouk” from Saudi Arabia and then with a 2: 1 victory over “Kim” from South Korea (7: 3 from South Korea). , 2 breaks and 10 to 5 Ahmadi) reached the final.
