
According to IRNA, the first round of the Kuwait International Boxing Tournament, which started on July 30 in the men’s group with the participation of 72 boxers from 22 countries, ended on Monday night.
Iran participated in this competition with 6 representatives, and our country’s boxers managed to win two silver medals (Mustafa Rigi and Baqer Faraji), four bronze medals (Sajad Mohammadpour, Shahin Mousavi, Hossein Mirahmadi and Tofan Sharifi) and a fourth title (with counting the number of medals).
Also, taking into account the scores of our country’s boxers, Iran is ranked third.
On the final night of this tournament, Mustafa Rigi lost to “Abdumagid Manopov” from Uzbekistan in the final match of 51 kg weight, and Bagher Faraji lost the result to “Khonatip Pidnoch” from Thailand in the 63.5 kg final.
