VC of Persia Or more fully, Persia Entrepreneurship Pioneers is a venture capital fund that started working in 2019. This VC is ready to invest in new businesses, taking advantage of successful experiences, such as the establishment of the self-sufficiency center of Sharif University of Technology, the establishment and operation of Box (Knowledge-based Business Club) and successful investments in various startups.

- From your point of view, the reasons for not going to the investor? (Given the state of the internet, shouldn’t they seek to attract capital more than before?)
Various factors can be considered for startups not turning to investors. Among these reasons, the following can be mentioned:
- Uncertainty about the future of business is the main reason for non-referral
- Lack of hope for the future of starting a business in Iran
- The existence of problems with a higher priority than attracting capital in business
The current condition of the ecosystem is a condition that has not existed before, which means facing a new ambiguous and critical condition.
One of the problems startups in the current ecosystem are dealing with is the critical situation and uncertainty about the future of the business. This issue has caused startups to turn to short-term solutions such as not continuing, stopping the fundraising process, and consequently not committing to the uncertain future.

In the last month, startups whose main marketing channel was through advertising on Instagram, were unable to carry out marketing activities and communicate with their customers under the influence of filtering and the current news of the country. This caused their income to decrease significantly compared to the previous months.
Also, due to the significant decrease in advertising and marketing activities in the virtual space, the startups that were active in this field did not succeed in continuing their projects.
All these factors had an effect on Persian startups’ income, and they mainly had problems with marketing and sales goals.
