According to IRNA, this academy was opened today Monday with the presence of Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sports and Youth, Maryam Kazmipour, Vice President of Women’s Sports Development, Seyed Manaf Hashemi, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, a group of officials from the Ministry of Sports, Arash Mirasmaili, President of the Judo Federation, Asim Yousefi, CEO of the Development and Maintenance Company. Sports facilities and a number of heroes and veterans were opened in Tehran’s Kabkanian sports complex.
Gholamreza Nowrozi, Mehran Barancheshmeh, Mehran Tishehgaran and Alireza Pakdel also attended the ceremony.
In this ceremony, the Minister of Sports and Youth inaugurated the Judo Academy, which has facilities such as a gym, sauna and two tatami mats. Also, the beginning of the construction of the second phase of the Judo Academy, which has a dormitory and an administrative department, was also laid by the Minister of Sports.
Sajjadi also unveiled the new information site of the Judo Federation.
During this ceremony, the Minister of Sports and Youth was honored with a plaque by the elders of martial arts.
Also, the Minister of Sports opened the hall of the Federation of Martial Sports Associations, which is located in the Kebakanian Sports Complex and is adjacent to the Judo Academy.
