AFC ultimatum to Iran to host in the Asian Champions League

According to Fars news agency, Salem Almari, a reporter close to Al Duhail Club in Qatar, announced in an interview with “Alkas” that the Asian Football Confederation has given Iran a deadline to equip its stadiums with video assistant referee (VAR) technology.
This reporter continued: If the AFC deadline expires and the stadiums are not equipped with VAR, the matches of Iranian representatives in the Asian Champions League will be moved outside of Iran.
Al Duhail is one of the rivals of Persepolis in the group stage of the Asian Champions League. Al-Nasr of Arabia and Esteghlal of Tajikistan are other rivals of the Reds.
Sepahan competes in the third group with the teams of Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, Air Force of Iraq and Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates. In the fourth group, Nasaji competes with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Mumbai City of India and Nobahar of Uzbekistan.
