According to Tasnim news agency, the Asian Football Confederation announced today (Friday) about the occurrence of fundamental changes in the Asian Champions League matches, the rules related to it, and the end of the suspension of the Professional Licensing Committee of the Iranian Football Federation.

The AFC Competitions Committee also made other decisions, some of which are mentioned in the announcement of the confederation as follows:

* Due to the possibility of the end of the 2022 Asian Champions League after the 2022 Club World Cup, the competition committee agreed to introduce Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, the champion of the 2021 competition, as the representative of the Asian continent in the Club World Cup.

* The Tournament Committee has decided that as part of efforts to minimize potential adverse effects and in order to maintain sporting standards for all participating teams, the host countries will not participate in the qualifiers for the focused tournaments.

* After Bahrain withdrew from hosting the 2023 Asian Under-17 Championship, the AFC Tournament Committee approved the offer to host the games to the Thai Football Federation.
