According to Mehr News Agency, in a meeting held by the technical staff of the national team in this regard, according to the presentation of Alireza Karimi’s medical documents (bruises) by the Alborz Province Wrestling Board before the Gorgan championships to the federation and with the approval of a trusted doctor ( Dr. Kayhani) and the provisions of the national team selection cycle, new decisions were made. Based on this, considering that Karimi won the Takhti Cup qualifiers in the 86 kg weight category and his absence from the national championships, which allowed him to participate in the Asian Championships, was justified, the following decisions were made:
The in-camp selection competition will be held on March 18 between Alireza Karimi, the champion of the Takhti Cup qualifying competition, and Mohsen Mostafavi, the champion of the national championship in Gorgan.
Weightlifting will be at 8:00 AM with two kilograms of Arfaq and the match will be at 10:00 AM. If Mostafavi wins, he will be the national team player of Iran in Mongolia. Otherwise, Alireza Karimi must achieve 2 victories against Mostafavi to be the national team of Iran in the Asian Championship.
