America’s reaction to Iraq’s debt payment to Iran

New York – IRNA – In response to the statement of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman that “the Ministry of Electricity has paid all the debts of Iraq to Iran for importing gas”, the US State Department has offered a series of exemptions in consultation with the Congress since 2018. which allows Iraq to pay its debt to Iran in a limited and controlled bank account in Iraq.
