Amini: I don’t like karate to face problems; I will not return

Ashraf Amini who resigned from the position of vice-president of the women’s karate federation yesterday, in an interview with IRNA, stated: I spoke with the officials of the federation on several occasions and even had criticisms. They were also kind and accepted my comments, but still the events that I expected to happen are not implemented.

He added: I was not even informed about some matters or was informed when decisions were made.

Amini continued: If I wasn’t aware of an issue, I wouldn’t even have answered the journalists with all the respect I have for them, because there would have been a change in the decisions and I didn’t want my words to cause the slightest problem for the federation.

The resigned vice president of Karate Federation said: I came to the conclusion that I can’t spend more on myself. I could clearly see how much energy I had to put into Joule to take a step, and after a short time we were back to square one.

In response to the question that the officials of the federation seem to be against his resignation, he said: Mr. Ashuri was kind and called several times to return to the federation and hold a meeting to resolve the issues. I have made the decision and I will not return. I will definitely support whoever is elected.

Amini said: I don’t like the federation to face the smallest margin, but we will not withdraw my resignation.

In response to the question, what will happen to his membership in the Technical Committee of the World Federation with this resignation? He stated: This membership continues and I will continue my presence in the global technical committee.
