According to Tasnim news agency, Carlo Ancelotti has assigned his lawyers to sue Everton club in order to collect his 2 million pound claim from this English team.
As it turns out, Ancelotti owes the team £2 million in bonuses for the two seasons he coached at Everton (2019-2021), which has yet to be collected two years after he left the team.
Therefore, Carletto’s lawyers filed a complaint against the Merseyside club to the European Supreme Court yesterday (Monday). The Everton club cited a series of problems in the payment of taxes as the reason for the delay in paying Ancelotti’s debt, but what is clear is the not very interesting financial situation of this club, which could have gotten much worse with its relegation to the lower category, but this happened. It didn’t work, because the Evertons barely kept themselves in the first level of the island’s football in the last week of the English Premier League.
In the two seasons that Ancelotti was Everton’s head coach, he did not achieve better than winning the 10th and 12th titles of the Premier League with this team, although the situation of this team was much worse after his departure and in the last season, it went to the brink of relegation.
