He continued: “Basketball World Cup window competitions are very important for us because we want to qualify for the World Cup.” Not long ago, our national basketball team made its way to this country with all the difficulty and we played against this team in Australia, but now this talk is not acceptable to us and we have to host the Australian team in our own land.

The president of the Basketball Federation emphasized: As the guardian of basketball in the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will not neglect our inalienable right in any way, all the hosting conditions are available in Iran and we have proven this many times.

It should be noted that considering the fact that the Australian national team has confirmed its participation in the World Cup, it seems that the distance and the long way are the most important excuses for not participating in Iran. Our country’s federation recently hosted the Asian Championship in the youth category, which was accompanied by the presence of FIBA ​​Asia officials, and all the hosting conditions went in such a way that we even witnessed the appreciation of our country’s basketball federation by the Asian officials.
