Asadi: Persepolis has nothing to lose / Independence will be challenged again

In an interview with a sports reporter of the news agency, Ebrahim Asadi said about the 2-0 victory of Persepolis against Peykan and the reduction of the difference between the whites and Esteghlal: They found something special. Congratulations to the children of Persepolis who deserved this victory. Inshallah, they will go against Zobahan with motivation and get three points in that game.

He continued: “Certainly independence will be challenged again.” The team has two or three tough games ahead and is losing points. The members of Persepolis’ technical staff should provide a platform to create more friendship between the players and to double their motivation. Persepolis has a lot of experienced players and Torabi and Amiri will come to the next game. In my opinion, if Golmohammadi and other members of the technical staff take the friendship program between the children more seriously, this issue can help the whites.

The former player of Persepolis team also clarified about the upcoming matches between the whites and Esteghlal: Esteghlal has more difficult games. It is true that we play against Sepahan, but Esteghlal must also play against Foolad. Persepolis has nothing to lose and has proven itself in the last five seasons so far. I think our concern should be to win the AFC Champions League; The Premier League is a trivial matter. The fact that quotas were lost this year has its place. In general, and in my opinion, the Persepolis club and the technical staff can be the main factors for winning the next games, they must focus the children by determining the rewards in order to succeed.

On the issue of extending the contracts of some Persepolis players and that the fans are worried about extending the contracts of players such as Torabi and Sarlak, Asadi said: “This issue is due to the policy of the club’s director and board to support the players and provide conditions for them to stay in the team.” We have seen the number of Persepolis legionnaires increase in the last few years, but this situation should not be such that our team is empty. The level of expectations from this team is high. I think the board and the CEO should think of a plan for this. Players like Seyed Jalal Hosseini, Ramin Rezaian, Torabi, Amiri, Sarlak and a few other players must have their contracts renewed.

He also explained about the performance of Persepolis’ foreign players: “Foreign players may have come to Persepolis just to present themselves because of the Asian Champions League.” I always said; Whenever a player plays against 30,000 fans and is able to do his job, then he is a good player. Henanov is not a bad player among foreigners, but any player has a lot of ups and downs anyway. Tamirov is also a runner-up, but I do not think he will be a productive player to lay the foundation stone for Persepolis and know the framework well.
