Ashtiani: The general secretary has no right to interfere in the work of the election committee/ the football federation is suffering from many diseases

According to Fars news agency, Amir Reza Vaez Ashtiani said about his objection to the lobbying of some people in the presidential election of the Football Federation: Lobbying in itself is not bad, but the model differs in how, with what atmosphere and for what purposes. We are not going to spread gangs and gangsterism, but there are times when we want to lobby and talk to choose the best, which is good. In any case, I personally have no problem with lobbying that exists in various political fields and even in the international field for various cases, provided that it is in a positive direction.
Regarding the claim that the Election Committee of the Football Federation has no independence, he said: I did not say such a thing. My point is that when the chairman of this committee is independent and even the chairman and secretary general of the federation do not have the right to interfere in anything according to the law, how can the chairman of the committee say that we do not consider the holiday and the registration time should be until the 22nd of this month instead of July 20th. With what authority does the secretary general veto the chairman of the committee’s speech?
The election candidate of the Football Federation stated: If the head of the committee has no authority, then why do we have a committee called the preliminary election committee? This committee is appointed by the General Assembly of the Football Federation and the President and Secretary General of the Federation have no right to interfere in its work. So how does this happen and the water does not shake?
Ashtiani explained about why he dared to register in the elections of the Football Federation knowing this fact: “I and other friends have come with the slogan of change.” If we succeed and we are elected, we will be together with other friends and we will create a change in the federation complex so that people will follow the sidelines of football less. We have to prevent these issues and cases that originate from mismanagement, rent and opportunism of some people. Of course, the football federation is suffering from many diseases that need time.
In an interview with Radio Javan’s Offside program, he continued: It should not be thought that we are going to solve all the problems in one period. Just as everyone should not expect Mr. Raisi’s government, which has entered into many problems, to solve everything overnight. Football is the same because it needs practice, review, research, help and many issues. With an expert, logical and fair view, we should take football towards the rule of peace in it, so that people can enjoy football, not that it is a scrap of their soul every day.
