According to IRNA; The Asian Boxing Championship with the participation of 320 (211 men and 109 women) athletes started on Tuesday, November 10 in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and will continue until November 21.

Today (Thursday), Shahin Mousavi in ​​75 kg weight, Maysam Qashlaghi in 80 kg weight and Pouria Amiri in 86 kg weight will face their opponents as representatives of Iran.

Accordingly, Pouria Amiri defeated “Kapil Pokharia” from India with a result of 5-0 in the first match in the weight of 86 kg and advanced to the quarterfinals.

This victory was achieved while Amiri performed well in the first round, but to everyone’s surprise, the result ended 4-1 in favor of the Indian boxer. The issue that caused Amiri to continue to perform flawlessly and knock down his opponent in the second and third rounds and reach a 5-0 advantage.

Next, Amiri will have to fight with “Adelbek Olu Erkin” from Kyrgyzstan, the holder of two Asian bronze medals in 2019 and 2021, to reach the semi-final stage.
