According to IRNA’s Wednesday evening report, the Asian Boxing Championship started yesterday with the participation of 320 (211 men and 109 women) in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and will continue until November 21.
Today, Ashkan Rezaei at 63.5 kg and Mehdi Khosravi at 54 kg are the representatives of our country.
In the first round, Rezaei faced “Wangdi Dorjee” from Bhutan and finished the fight decisively with a score of 5-0 in his favor and made his way to the next round. In the next stage, Rezaei will have to fight with “Lai Cho En” from Chinese Taipei.
In a few hours, Mehdi Khosravi, the 54 kg boxer of our country, will fight with “Rangsi Sao” from Cambodia, and if he wins in this fight, he will meet with one of the representatives of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The guidance of these people is under the responsibility of Alireza Staki, and Gholamreza Karimi, Homayun Amiri, Jassam Delavari, Shahram Fateh and Daniyal Timaji accompany him as coaches.
