Asian Cup basketball; Aghajanpour: We defeated our toughest competitor

According to IRNA, Iran’s national basketball team faced Japan today (Sunday) in the third and final round of the group stage of the Asian Cup to witness an interesting fight between the two group winners for the top group title. The match ended with the Iranian national team winning 88-76.

According to IRNA; Metin Aghajanpour, a player of our country’s national basketball team, said after the victory against Japan in the Asian Cup: The match against Japan was our toughest game in the group, but we were able to stop them well.

He added: This match was our toughest game in the group and thank God we were able to win this game with the measures that the technical staff thought.

The player of our country’s national basketball team pointed out: As it was clear in the previous games, the Japanese team is very shooting and they plan on three-point shots.

Aghajanpour said: Thank God we were able to stop them and win the game with a good margin. I hope we can play as well and motivated in the next stages as well.
