Asian Cup basketball; Armaghani: We are getting better game by game

According to IRNA; Iran’s national basketball team faced Japan today (Sunday) in the third and final round of the group stage of the Asian Cup to witness an interesting fight between the two group winners for the top group title. The match ended with the Iranian national team winning 88-76.

Saeed Armaghani, the head coach of our country’s national basketball team, expressed his satisfaction with the victory of Iran against Japan and said: “The Iranian team has improved game by game and I hope this trend continues.”

He added: I congratulate the basketball community that the national team defeated Japan with a good game and achieved an acceptable result in the Asian Cup.

The head coach of the national basketball team noted: We controlled the Japanese team very well and 90% of our plans were implemented in attack and we achieved a sweet win.

Armaghani said: As I said on the first day, we get better game by game and the kids find each other better and I hope this process continues.
