Asian water polo championship Iran’s teammate withdrew from the competition

According to Fars news agency, the Uzbekistan national water polo team, one of the 5 teams in the same group as Iran’s national water polo team in the Asia Championship in Bangkok, withdrew from the competition. In this way, the Iranian national water polo team will compete in the preliminary round with the national teams of Kazakhstan, Thailand, India and South Korea in Group A of this tournament.

With the announcement of the withdrawal of the Uzbekistan national team, the first match of the Iranian national water polo team against India in this tournament will be on Tuesday, November 17, 1401 at 13:50 Iran time. The preliminary rounds will be held in five days and in two groups.

After that, the games will be followed in the form of 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 based on the classification of the preliminary rounds of groups A and B, so that finally the four teams of the semi-final stage will be determined.

The 2022 Asian Championship water polo competition will be held from November 16 to 23, 1401 with the participation of 10 teams in Bangkok.
