Asian women’s club volleyball The defeat of the arrows in the first step against the representative of the host

According to Fars news agency, the 23rd round of Asian women’s club volleyball championship started today (Tuesday, May 5th) with the participation of 9 teams and hosted by the city of Hanoi, Vietnam.
In their first match in the preliminary stage, Pekan team of Tehran faced the Sports Center team from the host country and lost three to two results to their opponent to get one point from the host team in the first step.
Fatemeh Amini, Soudabeh Bagharpour, Mena Ashfete, Mehsa Kodkhoda, Pouran Zara and Zahra Mughani were the starting lineup of Pikan team in this match and Negar Hashemi also accompanied them as a libero.
Fatemeh Rashidi’s students won 25-21 and 25-22 in the second and fourth sets of this match, but they lost to this team in the first, third and fifth sets with the scores of 25-22, 25-18 and 15-10 respectively.
Many spectators came to the hall for this match and constantly cheered the representative of Vietnam. Ali Akbar Nazari, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam, along with his family, were among the special spectators of this match.
The Arrows will face King Wall from Chinese Taipei and Hisamitsu Spring from Japan on the 8th and 9th of May, respectively, in the preliminary stage of this competition.
In the other two matches today, Liaoning Donghua (China) defeated Khosgol Erchim (Mongolia) in an easy match three to zero, and Altai (Kazakhstan) beat Diamond Food Fine Chef (Thailand) in a tough match three to two.

Sports Center 3 – Pikan 2 (25 on 22, 21 on 25, 25 on 18, 22 on 25 and 15 on 10)
Iranian women’s volleyball representatives have participated in a total of 13 Asian club championships so far, and the best position achieved in 2021 (Saipa) and 2022 (Barij Essans) is the fourth place.
Pikan Tehran team is experiencing its second appearance in this tournament this year. In 2018 and in the first appearance, this team achieved the sixth place among 9 participating teams.
