Atai: I do not compliment anyone / Team cohesion is a priority – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, the camp of the Iranian national volleyball team started yesterday evening (Saturday, April 10) and the head coach of the national team, Behrouz Ataei, addressed the players at the beginning of training: “All of you have worked with me in different categories so far. I am familiar. I pay more attention to disciplinary discussion and team cohesion than technical discussion.
He emphasized: “I believe that when a team is 70% in terms of quality but has 100% coherence, it will perform better than a team with 90% quality and 50% coherence.” That is why team cohesion is very important to me, and this must be institutionalized in each and every player.
The head coach of the Iranian national volleyball team continued: The secret of the national team’s success in the Asian championship was the same. After the Tokyo Olympics, the Iranian national volleyball team was not in a good mood, but we helped each other and made an exceptional event. After three defeats against Japan in the last three years, you managed to defeat this team at home and you won the Asian championship.
Reiterating the importance of team cohesion, he said: “This issue is achieved due to empathy.” The technical discussion is enhanced by your own efforts and the plans of the technical staff, but the issue of team cohesion is achieved if there is order in each player.
Atai reminded that in the disciplinary issue of the national volleyball team, I will not compliment or forgive anyone and added: no player has the right to go beyond the defined frameworks of the federation and the technical staff. It is unforgivable and I hope this never happens.
This year, the Iranian national volleyball team will participate in four events: the Wagner Cup, the 2022 League of Nations, the World Men’s Volleyball Championship and the Asian Games.
The team’s training camp for a worthy presence in the upcoming events started yesterday (Saturday, April 10).
