The head coach of the Iranian national volleyball team reminded that we will face these teams in the Asian Games and the Olympic qualifiers, adding: “Japan and China are very key opponents for Iranian volleyball.”

He continued: “The Japanese team will participate in the League of Nations with the full Olympic team, and the Chinese team, which became the third in Asia in 2021, will play with all its might.” But the Iranian national volleyball team has the most changes compared to all the Asian and world teams participating in the League of Nations that were also in the Olympics.

Atai emphasized: The Iranian team has changed more than 90% of its current composition compared to the Olympics, and even out of the five players who remained in the team after the Olympics, we only have Ebadipour and Sharifi with us in the first week.

He also said about the friendly matches with the Serbian team: “We will leave for Serbia on Saturday night and we will have two friendly matches with the national team of this country on 11 and 12 June.” It is a good opportunity for the Iranian team to implement the new rules of the League of Nations in these games so that the players can be more in line with these rules.
