According to Mehr news agency, Behrouz Atai said at the end of the first practice of the Iranian national volleyball team on the eve of the Olympic qualifying competition: “Fortunately, the players did a good practice.” We arrived in Brazil very late and we didn’t have enough time to rest, but the players are still determined to do a great job.

He continued: We have to play our first game against Germany, which will be a difficult match. Usually, the first games in any tournament are difficult for all teams. I hope it’s a good game. We have complete information about the German national team and we have analyzed their five games in the European Championship, and we will talk with the players in two meetings until the game so that what we want is implemented during the game.

The head coach of Iran’s national volleyball team said about the fatigue of the players: The players are definitely tired. We were on the road for about 60 hours, but we already knew that the conditions were like this. We have come to Brazil with this mental preparation, and in the first training, the players showed less fatigue than expected.

Atai emphasized: I hope that fatigue will not ruin our work in the game against Germany. The medical staff has also thought of measures and I hope that the players will appear on the field in the first game with their bodies ready.
