According to Mehr news agency, Behrouz Atai said about the latest status of the Iranian national team: Fortunately, after the acceptable results of the preliminary stage and advancing to the final stage, we are in a good situation. We needed to rest for a few days after the last match against Serbia, and the new round of training started two days ago. According to the plan, we will have five ball training sessions and three weight training sessions until the trip to Italy.
He stated that the other trainings of the Iranian national volleyball team will be followed in Bologna to prepare for the match against Poland, adding: We will have a tough and stressful match against Poland and the Iranian team will also prepare for this match with all its might.
Atai said about the Iranian team’s ball practice last night in Gdansk, which was highly stressful and special, he said: The truth is that the expectations of the team are clear and we know what we want to do. As the coach of the national team, I always want the best for the kids and I expect them to perform at their best. It is important to play the best game in the next stage.
He continued: We will make every effort for the best performance and this process continues. The result is not important, but we have to put all our effort and energy to succeed, and if we are empathetic and united, we will have the best performance. We have acted this way since the first day and this matter is important.
The head coach of Iran’s national volleyball team emphasized: “The work in the preliminary stage is over, and the results of the matches of this stage have been set aside.” The strategy for the final stage is game-by-game to determine the specific result on the day of the game. He stated: I think we will have a good meeting with Poland.
