According to the Mehr news agency, the international freestyle wrestling competitions of the Turkish Yashardoglu Cup, which is also considered the ranking of the World Union, started this afternoon with the weights of 97 and 125 kg in Istanbul.
In the 97kg weight class, Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian defeated Magomedserul Rahimov of Uzbekistan 11-0 in the first round. In the second round, he crossed the Mammad Ibragimov Dam in Kazakhstan 16-4 and advanced to the semifinals. At this stage, with a result of 10 to 0, he defeated Mustafa Sessiz from Turkey and advanced to the final match. In the final, Mohammadian will face world bronze medalist and European champion Alikhan Jabrailov of Russia.
According to the schedule of these competitions, the competitions of 97 and 125 kg will be held on Saturday, March 28, and the competitions of 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86 and 92 kg will be held on Sunday.
