Bechirovich: Iran’s basketball will return to the top/ attention to the basic levels will be on our agenda
According to IRNA, Mehmed Bechirovich who started his activity with the federation as the technical director of the adult national basketball team, expressed his satisfaction at being in Iran again and said: I am happy to be in Iran again because I have very good memories in this country for 10 years and in these past years Despite being far away from Iran in China, I talked with Hamed Haddadi, Behnam Lakhari and Samad Nikkhah Bahrami about Iranian basketball, and since I have a history of working with the Iranian national team, I feel Iran in my heart.
The technical director of the Iran national basketball team recalled: I always had a good feeling for Iran and today we want to create good memories with a team work for Iran basketball. We had a generation, some of whom have said goodbye to championship sports, but others are still around. All these players have worked hard for Iranian basketball and have brought great honors, I hope we can replace these players and the previous generation with good young people and bring significant honors by making good use of young people.
The technical director of the Iran national basketball team said: Our most important goal at the current stage is the fifth and sixth windows of the World Cup, and I believe that with the good players we have at our disposal, we can achieve success in the form of a good program, and to achieve this goal, with high concentration and determination. We will try harder.
In another part of his speech, Bechirovich stated: In the future, with the cooperation and unity of the media, the federation, the National Olympic Committee and the people, we can show strong Iranian basketball again and return to the top.
Regarding the cooperation with Saeed Armaghani, the head coach of the Iran national basketball team, he stated: Our cooperation has started for some time and we are in full cooperation with each other, and the focus of the team is the success of the Iran basketball team.
The technical director of the Iran national basketball team said: My cooperation will be in the form of paying attention to the basic age groups so that we can introduce a new generation in the process of player formation.
