Behrouz Atai: One ball changed the fate of Poland – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr news agency, on the third day of the first week of the League of Nations, two teams of Iran and Poland played in the hall Gaishi Japan’s Nagoya faced each other, during which our country’s national team lost three to two.

Behrouz Atai said after this meeting: Iran showed a very good performance today. In the first match against Japan, we did not start well and our performance was not acceptable, but the national team played a great game against Poland and challenged the great Polish team.

Atai continued: Despite the victory in the first two sets, the experience and services of the Poles made it difficult for Iran. In general, we saw a close match and everyone watched a quality game and both teams tried their best to win. Iran performed much better than the previous match and I hope that this growing trend will continue in the future matches so that we can achieve our desired goals.

The head coach of the national team explained about the change made in the fifth set and the replacement of Mohammad Tahir Wadi instead of Javad Karimi: We had given up the third and fourth sets and the structure of the team’s game needed to be changed. There was no weakness on the part of Javad Karimi. We needed a change to create more ambiguity among the Poles. Mohammad Wadi and Morteza Sharifi entered the game and showed good performance.

In the end, Atai added: We tried to change the game system and changed the information that the Poles had obtained from us during the game, but in the end, one ball decided the fate of the fifth set.

The Iranian national volleyball team will face China at 10:10 on Saturday, June 20, in the third match of the first week.
