According to IRNA; The Asian Junior Boxing Championships started yesterday (Wednesday) in Amman, Jordan and will continue for 13 days.
This evening (Thursday), on the second day of the competition, “Nima Beigi”, the representative of the 54 kg weight category of the Iranian youth team, went against “Kozai Al-Sud” from Palestine in the first round and defeated his opponent in the first round in a strong and one-sided fight. The quarter-final stage was reached. At this stage, Beigi will face Saleh Abdullah from Yemen.
“Mehdi Kazemi”, the representative of our country’s 48 kg weight, also defeated the representative of the Philippines yesterday and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Our national boxing team with 7 representatives in the youth section and 6 boxers in the youth section are participating in these competitions.
Reza Mehdipour is the head coach of Iran’s national youth and youth boxing teams as the head coach, Morteza Sepahvandi, Mehdi Tolouti and Mohammad Mehdipour as the coach. In these competitions, Mehdi Shafiei will be the head of our national team.
