
According to IRNA; Today (Friday), two other Iranian representatives took to the ring in the continuation of the Asian Junior Boxing Championship, which is being held in the Jordanian capital Amman.
In the youth 54 kg weight category, Nima Beigi competed against Mublin Pamisa from the Philippines and won a bronze medal after losing to her opponent.
To participate in this stage, Beigi first defeated Palestine’s Kozai Al-Sud, and in the quarterfinals, she crossed the Shabab Abdullah Dam in Kuwait.
Then, Abolfazl Dana lost in the youth 80kg semifinals to Uzbekistan’s Abdulaziz Abdulkhmanov to miss out on a bronze medal.
Dana had already won the first round against India after a break in the first round.
Last night, Alireza Mousavi defeated the Jordanian representative to reach the final in the 66 kg weight category, and Seyed Ali Akbar Mirahmadi also won the bronze medal in the 63 kg weight category in the same age category.
Mousavi will face the Uzbek representative on Sunday to win the gold medal.
The other members of the Iranian youth teams withdrew from the competition.
The national youth teams of Iran are led by Reza Mehdipour as the head coach and Morteza Sepahvandi, Mehdi Tolouti and Mohammad Mehdipour as the coach.
