According to Fars news agency, due to the illness of Mohammad Reza Tavakoli, the head coach of the Iran Davis Cup team, and the impossibility of sending him to Vietnam with the team, decisions were made in this regard.

Last night, the technical committee of the federation held a meeting and finally it was decided that after the meeting at noon today (Friday) in the presence of Dr. Daoud Azizi, the president of the federation and the technical staff members, the final decision will be made and announced to the world federation.

Therefore, Moharram Khodayi was selected as the head coach to participate in Davis Cup 2022.
Khodai has been a member of the Davis Cup team for more than a decade and has also led the national team in several periods.
