According to Tasnim news agency, the organizing committee of the 2022 World Cup announced the creation of a single international consular center to provide the necessary services to foreign spectators during the holding of the tournament in Qatar.
In this consular center, representatives of more than 40 foreign embassies will be present and will help the fans in solving their residence issues. The representatives of the countries that have the most spectators in the 2022 World Cup will be stationed in this center, and the duration of its daily activity will be 12 hours.
Hassan Al-Zawadi, Secretary of the 2022 World Cup Heritage and Projects Committee, also stated: The creation of a single consular center for spectators shows a new model of international cooperation in this field. This initiative can also be used in future world sports events.
