The field of legal services, despite its many sensitivities, contains wide opportunities for the role of entrepreneurs. Dadsan is one of the collections that appreciated these opportunities and seeks to create value by facilitating access and increasing the quality of services in this field. Farshad Mosfa, the young founder of Dadsan, a conversation with Ecomotive We will continue with it.
Start by introducing yourself.
I am Farshad Mosfa, born in 1975 and a student of mechanics. Before the prosecutor Startup I started another one in the field of industry, which failed. We had gathered a good team; But due to lack of experience and lack of coordination, it was not completed and we suffered financial loss. After that, I started a game club that earned good income. But I tried to enter a wider work environment. The main ideator and founder of Dodsan Reza Taghizadeh and we started work on March 18, 1995.
How did the idea of prosecutors come up?
Reza Taghizadeh worked in the judiciary for 15 years and was well aware of the problems of lawyers and clients. The main spark of prosecutors was caused by the following two factors:
- Lawyers are prohibited from advertising
- Hard to find a lawyer that fits your budget
The system we have launched connects an expert lawyer to the client. At first, we did not spend time on the project full-time and were not very involved in the work process; But after a little experience, we quickly presented the product and got feedback and started analyzing the feedback.
What is the service of prosecutors and what are its characteristics?

One of the special characteristics of prosecutors is that if someone has a problem in the field of real estate and needs a lawyer, the lawyers that prosecutors introduce to them are those who have experience in real estate cases. Another feature of Dodasan is that the user receives prices from several lawyers at the same time, which creates competition and offers more reasonable prices to customers. So far, 217 lawyers have been approved in the prosecutor’s office, and they have passed the acceptance process and are working. Dodsan has covered more than 300 cities and villages in one year and helped 1007 people in the legal field.
Given the sensitivity of the legal issue, how did you build trust?
The main way to get results is to be introduced. In all jobs in the world, there are people who are early adopters, and we identified these people and introduced the Dodsan system to them. 26% of customers trusted lawyers through word-of-mouth introductions, and because our system provides various features to the user and operates in a specialized manner in all aspects of this field, in addition to introducing specialized lawyers, people usually use the system as well. They introduce each other.
We chose part of the startup community as early adopters; Because they are usually more open to online services. Through them, prosecutors were introduced by word of mouth. In the next step, we are going to through Optimization for search engines Introduce ourselves more to users.
What framework is designed for cooperation with lawyers in Dodasan?
The seized cases and votes of lawyers are reviewed by the legal department of the prosecutors. The average experience of our lawyers is 13.5 years, and it is not the case that newly graduated people are attracted, but they are accepted according to their quality and expertise.
How does the interaction between clients and lawyers take place?
The user’s request is registered and entered into the prosecutor’s system, and the required field and expertise are determined. Then the lawyer reads the requests written by the client and asks the user questions about the case and then announces the price range. Lawyers know that other lawyers also give prices and that’s why competition occurs. The user and the lawyer can communicate with each other in person or by phone. Proposals from lawyers must be made between 2 and 24 hours after registering the client’s request; Unless the person requests more time.
How do you prevent interactions outside of the prosecutor’s framework?
The process is such that during the meeting the user has with the lawyer, if the request was in the field of setting up a contract or representation, the result of the meeting should be a representation contract. If at the end of the meeting, the result is that nothing; If it doesn’t work out, either the price and behavior of the lawyer is a problem, or the agreement is outside the rules of the lawyers. In both cases, the lawyer receives a negative score, in this way those who try to act outside the system, their negative scores will increase and their referrals will decrease; Because the goal of lawyers is to get points in the system so that their requests increase, and this makes the lawyer not to act outside the rules of the system.
How is the competitive environment in the field of legal services?
I always consider the existence of a competitor as a good omen, because we are all trying to expand the online market and create culture in the online field. One of the most important competitors is the “Dadrah” team, which works very well; But they also have small problems, for example, their business model revolves around “lawyer”; That is, the higher the number of lawyers, the higher the income of the site, which is a pest; Because quantity and quality have a reciprocal relationship, and the higher the quantity, the lower the quality, and lawyers who do not have much experience may be able to enter the online system at a cost, and this is not a good thing. Our system is different from the court system. Application registration is free and we receive a small commission from lawyers, and the percentage depends on the lawyer’s qualifications.
What was the composition of the prosecutor’s team at the beginning? What is it like now?
When we started working, there were 4 of us, all of us left our previous jobs because of the prosecutors in order to focus full time on the prosecutors, Reza Taghizadeh worked in the judicial system. Faeze Rowan Bakhsh was the first mobile programmer and backend and Android expert. Mohsen Faraji is a UI/UX specialist and our product designer and used to take on heavy projects as a freelancer. I myself had started a game club after the startup that failed, but I left this field because of the lawyers, and now all 4 of us are working with focus. Currently, the lawyers team consists of 8 people, 4 co-founders and two legal consultants who do our legal support work and 2 people help us in technical discussions.
Has there been a change in your service along the way?
In the beginning, we called the numbers and gave them advice; But then we came to the conclusion that this method is very time-consuming; This was one of the feedbacks we received, and the result was that we decided to create a platform where two-way communication takes place, instead of calls from the team members, one side is a lawyer and the other side is a client. On the other hand, from the beginning, our site was not designed in such a way that users could choose services individually, and the request that was registered, it was not clear whether the request was registered for consultation or advocacy or… and this led to the definition of services separately. (consultation, advocacy, etc.) for users on the site.
In the future, the most important thing that we have decided to do is to launch the Dodsan Android and iOS application, which will provide users with faster and easier access.
Have you experienced the acceleration and investment process?
We started from “Avacamp” to accelerate; But we did not enter “Avatek”. After that, Ward Shared workspace We became “Serir” and after that we joined the “Samsung-Amirkabir” accelerator, which has a very good performance in terms of providing services. But we haven’t taken any special action yet to attract capital and we went ahead with our own expenses. So far, we have had 14 proposals from investors, but we have not entered into serious discussions with any of them. But we are planning to attract capital to cover advertising and marketing costs, networking and increasing the value of lawyers and increasing users.
What was the most serious challenge you faced?
The discussion of human resources and increasing the efficiency of the team is one of the challenges of every startup. We did not have much problem in the team building stage and the team was formed easily; But we faced challenges in recruiting employees. Recruiting an employee whose morale is compatible with the team or the team conveys information to them well was one of the most important challenges, which fortunately is now in a relatively good condition.
