€ 10 million dispute between Chelsea and Inter over Lukaku’s transfer

According to Tasnim news agency, Chelsea’s Belgian striker Romulo Lukaku is counting the time to return to Inter, but due to the difference of 10 million Euros, no agreement has been reached between the two clubs in this regard. Fabrizio Romano, a well-known Italian journalist and European football transfer expert, reported; Inter made their first official offer for Lukaku, which was a € 5 million loan move, but Chelsea rejected the offer and Inter are now waiting for a price to be set by the English side.

The Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, on the other hand, claimed; Chelsea want € 15 million to agree a transfer fee for the Belgian striker to the Nerazzurri, indicating a € 10 million dispute between the two clubs; However, it seems that the two sides can agree on a payment of 10 million euros from Inter.

Lukaku, 29, who is unhappy with his situation at Chelsea, is pushing Chelsea and Thomas Tukhl to return to Inter, while he is said to be willing to cut his salary to return to Inter.

The website “Gol” also reported that Giuseppe Marotta, the executive director of Inter and the leaders of this Italian club, are confident that Lukaku will return to Inter this summer.

The former Manchester United striker joined Inter in the summer of 2019 and helped the Nerazzurri win the Italian Serie A after 11 years by scoring 64 goals in 95 games in his two seasons with the club. The Belgian striker, however, left Nerazzurri after Inter’s historic championship following the departure of Antonio Conte and returned to Chelsea with a five-year contract.

Lukaku has made 44 appearances for the London Blues in recent seasons, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists for his team-mates.
