Entrepreneur Meybodi’s 16-year effort to revive the weaving industry

According to IRNA, Meybodi men and women, as well as their children, have been persevering since childhood to earn a living from Zillow and weaving, and have been weaving carpets and weaving fabrics with different dimensions and uses for many years. They were and still are.
At one time, both the weaving and weaving industries were forgotten, and with the efforts of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts of these arts, Zilvi Meybod was revived and nationally and internationally registered.
Carbafi is now very popular in Meybod, and many women are active in this field, displaying their handicrafts in exhibitions and in cyberspace.
There are many entrepreneurial artists who, in addition to creating jobs, strengthen this ancient art with their powerful hands.
Women are a constant in this art in Meybod, who create beauty with their artistic hands and spread the bread table for others.
One of these entrepreneurs is Fatemeh Sharifzadeh, who has been working in the field of weaving for the past 16 years and has helped to revive this industry as well as create employment.
In an interview with IRNA, the entrepreneur Meybodi said: “In 1984, I thought of reviving the weaving, in which women at that time wove only a small number of white canvas fabrics, and I tried to make this handicraft modern and modern.”
He added: “Before 1984, I had a pottery and ceramics shop in Shah Abbasi Caravanserai, and the problem of transporting pottery for tourists who wanted to take a souvenir from Meybod with them made me think of turning to the art of weaving, and then I tried to reshape it.
Emphasizing that weaving is a part of our culture and originality, he continued: I set up the first weaving tree, which was in the form of holes and wood, in my mother’s house, and my mother began to weave weaving cloth, reviving old memories in my mind. The first lady who came to our house made me set up a gallows in their house and gradually the number of gallows increased, I trained a lot of people and now 750 weaving gallows is active in Meybod.
Entrepreneur Meybodi also emphasized on the antiquity of weaving in Meybod and said: The existence of four weaving holes in the outer house of Bideh neighborhood, which is 900 years old, shows that Meybod is the cradle of this handicraft and Meybodians have been weaving all kinds of fabrics for many years. The old in the weavers’ houses that I have seen with my own eyes shows the antiquity of weaving.
He continued: “Since turning to weaving, four machines have been designed so far, and now we have a machine that only needs one meter per meter of space, and a woman weaver is doing this in her house next to housework, and in a way Homework has been created, women have a good income from this work and they are satisfied.
Sharifzadeh stated: During the past years, 16 workshops were established in the villages of Nodoshan, Mehrabad, Hassanabad, Roknabad Meybod, and also in the new farm of Ardakan and Manojan in Kerman, and I trained many people to be entrepreneurs. I did not hesitate.
He continued: I never thought that I would have a carpentry training only in Meybod, I taught different cities that asked for training, and I gave virtual training for cities like Isfahan and Kashan and sent devices to them.
Entrepreneur Meybodi said in relation to weaving uses: “I think we have succeeded in creating different weaving uses that are effective in marketing and sales. We have different brands such as scarves, bags, shoes, undergarments, blankets made of weaving fabrics, as well as some of our brands.” They buy carbon fabric for the production of coats.
He continued: “I ask the officials to have more support for carpentry activists, because carpenters are not insured, not even I was insured, and cultural heritage and city officials are expected to follow up on insuring carpenters and assigning benefits to them, as well as They should strive to introduce carb weaving at the national and global levels.
He also referred to the international exhibitions that are being held in Tehran, noting that despite the many hardships that a woman has to endure, I endured the hardships and participated in many exhibitions so far to introduce and teach weaving, and now I am happy to visit a foreign tourist. The shopkeeper of Shah Abbasi Caravanserai, with the knowledge he has gained from weaving, puts his hand on the weaving products without even asking the price and buys it.
Xylobafi, pottery, ceramics, mutabi and carbafi handicrafts are now active in Meybod, and many artists make money through them.
The city center of Meybod, with a population of 107,000, is located 50 km northwest of Yazd.
