According to IRNA, the judo competitions of the solidarity games of Islamic countries, hosted by Turkey, started today (Monday).
The Iranian team, which has gone to Konya in both men’s and women’s divisions, had seven representatives on the first day of these competitions, none of whom managed to win a medal. This is the first appearance of Iranian judokas in official events after three years, because now Iranian judo is going through a period of suspension.
The results of the representatives of Iran are as follows:
Men’s section
Weight minus 66 kg, “Hamidreza Papi” lost to “Albut” from Kazakhstan in the first round and was eliminated.
Weight minus 73 kg, “Mohammed Sediqi” defeated “Hossein Youssef” from Chad in the first round and then lost to “Valiof” from the Republic of Azerbaijan and was eliminated.
“Wahid Jedi” first defeated “Amrullah” from Indonesia in the same weight, but then he was defeated by “Faye Nijeh” from Gambia and ended his career.
Women’s section
Weight minus 48 kg, “Shiva Jahangiri” first defeated “Hirati” from the Qamar Archipelago and then lost to “Lila Aliov” from the Republic of Azerbaijan and went to the table of chances again to face “Amina Razak” from Algeria. He also tasted the bitter taste of defeat in this fight and ended his career without success.
Weight minus 52 kg, “Fateme Kamalipour” was defeated by the representative of Cameroon and withdrew from the competition.
Weight minus 57 kg, “Sayan Chegini” started his career by winning against an opponent from the Republic of Azerbaijan and then lost to “Julia Daboone” from Saal Aaj and went to the table of odds again. In this table, he left the tatami with a defeat against “Iram Kurkamaz” from the host country to remain empty-handed.
Minus weight of 63 kg, “Mohaddeh Hosseini” first knocked out “Amanada” from Albania, and in the second fight against “Amine Belkadi” from Algeria, he gave up the result and went to the table of chances again. In this table against “Shekinova” from Turkmenistan, Hosseini did not go anywhere, so he was also eliminated.
