
According to IRNA; On Wednesday, on the second day of the taekwondo competition of the Islamic Countries Games in Konya, Turkey, four Iranian representatives went to Shiapchang.
Meanwhile, Ghazal Soltani and Zainab Esmaili won the silver medal in the women’s section. In the men’s section, Mohammad Sadegh Dehghani won bronze, and Daniyal Gargi was eliminated.

Men
“Mohammed Sadiq Dehghani” in the minus 63 kg weight, after resting in the first round, defeated rivals from Saudi Arabia and Palestine and won the bronze medal by advancing to the semi-finals.
In this stage, he was defeated by Hakan from Turkey to settle for the bronze medal of these games.
At minus 68 kg weight, “Daniyal Zagiri” first defeated “Fofana” from Mali, but then he faced Ulogbek Rashidov of Uzbekistan and Tokyo Olympic champion, and after accepting the defeat against him, he withdrew from the competition.
Women
“Ghazal Soltani” gained the advantage against taekwondo players from Pakistan and Morocco in minus 49 kg weight after a round of rest and went to the finals.
In the finals, the representative of Iran faced Ruqieh Haldarim from the host country, and while he won in the first round, he was given five warnings due to unfairness in the next 2 rounds and was called the loser of the field to get silver.
“Zeinab Esmaili” in minus 67 kg, first won a difficult fight against “Uzda” from Uzbekistan and then defeated an opponent from Turkey to secure the bronze medal.
In the semi-final, Esmaili passed the Fanti Maram dam from Qatar to get to the final fight, but in the last step, he lost against an opponent from the Republic of Azerbaijan, and he settled for the silver medal.
Yesterday, Taekwondo players of our country won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals.
