In an interview with Mehr reporter, Abbas Jadidi said about the conditions of the wrestling league and the loss of wrestlers to the Russians: When we were in wrestling, we always defeated the Russians. They dictate themselves to the face of Iranian wrestlers.
He said: I have discussed all my discussions about the state of the ship in the virtual space, from now on, officials and people should talk about the ship. It was my legal duty to warn about the ship’s condition, and I had no intention of using unrelated sentences. Certainly, with the dire conditions of Iranian wrestling, we will definitely face a difficult task in the Olympics.
Jadi noted: I gave the warning about the state of the ship, but some people got upset and unfortunately, they are not critical and their resilience is low. These friends sought refuge in the judiciary because they criticized us, this behavior shows their weakness. The officials of the wrestling federation pay attention to the margins instead of the text and this has become their method.
He said: “Unfortunately, when the way of the officials of the wrestling federation is such that instead of solving the problem, they clean the face of the problem and if anyone criticizes it, they severely suppress it, the result is that wrestling has become like this.” I don’t know how long we have to be subjected to political dramas. The result of all these behaviors are the results obtained in the finals of the wrestling league.
Jadidi emphasized: Our wrestlers were shamefully defeated by the Russians. The wrestling federation’s method is to mislead the public, which is a great injustice to the wrestling community. Do not doubt that Iranian wrestling will face a challenge in the Olympics, are other countries sleeping like rabbits or do the gentlemen think that only they are thinking of making wrestlers and the rest sit idle, it is not the case at all.
He said: Other countries work more technically, regularly and scientifically and practice more. Be sure they will get better results than us. The league matches and the results that were obtained sounded the alarm for the Iranian sports authorities and I hope they will think about the crisis situation of the wrestling federation as soon as possible.
