According to Tasnim news agency, Behzad Gholampour, the coach of Esteghlal football team’s goalkeepers, strongly protested the decision of the league organization to hold Pikan’s match against Persepolis at Azadi Stadium. While Pikan’s match was supposed to be held this week, hosted by Pikan Club, at Pas Qavamin Stadium, the league organization announced that this match will be held at Azadi Stadium.
In this context, Gholampour told the media of Esteghlal Club: “As a member of the Esteghlal team’s technical staff, it is questionable to take such strange decisions.” Esteghlal played against Pikan and Hawadar in Pas Qavamin Stadium without spectators. What is the difference between those games and this match that Esteghlal should play in Pas Qavamin Stadium, but this match should be held in Azadi Stadium and in the presence of spectators? What is the reason for all this discrimination?
He added: If this is the case, why all this competition and effort? From the very beginning of the games, they give the championship cup to another team and say that the other teams should try to win the second and second titles. Maybe I’m wrong and I don’t understand the rules of football that one team should not be a guest in two return games against another team!
The coach of the goalkeepers of Esteghlal football team stated: Twenty-seven weeks have passed since the Premier League games. I have a reason to say that some of the decisions of the league organization are against Esteghlal and in favor of the competitors, leave the 26 games with all its events aside. Go see how they didn’t get a clear penalty for us in the game with Mes Rafsanjan and how they get a penalty for the rivals. How one of the senior managers of Pikan Club gives an interview and says that our team has no problem playing with the rival team at Azadi Stadium!
Gholampour severely criticized the planning of the league organization and noted: “Football comes and goes and trophies are forgotten.” No result is worth compromising health and honesty. After going through these events, a person is alone with himself and I hope that we all act in such a way that we do not violate anyone’s rights in order to achieve the result. Now I honestly say that the right to independence has been violated both in refereeing and in game planning. Where in the world is a team against another team, both in the away game and in the return game? Why didn’t this happen to us? Do not doubt that no one bothers to answer these questions. It is not bad to know that the right of people is the only right that cannot be waived by God.
